Yates YMCA - Riverside


No YMCA membership is needed to come and play.  Jacksonville Badminton Club (JBC) is an interest group to promote badminton and independent of YMCA.

First Visit: When coming to play, just say at the YMCA entrance that you come to play badminton and they should let you in without asking you to pay anything.

Costs:

$35 a month (becomes JBC member) will get you in the door for unlimited play on Tuesday evenings, Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons.

$7 for a walk-in (each visit).

Times:

Tuesday Evenings! We play every Tuesday evenings from 7:30-10pm.

Thurday Evenings! We play every Thursday evenings from 7:30-10pm.

Sunday afternoons! We now play every Sunday afternoons from 2-5pm.



Tuesdays and Thursdays are reserved for JBC members only.  No walk-in visitors.  (Another reason to become JBC member!)

Sundays are open for JBC members and walk-in visitors.

       

YMCA members will still need to pay as this offering is not officially part of the YMCA core programs. However, we strongly encourage EVERYONE to join the Yates YMCA! With your membership, you can enjoy so many other areas of the Yates YMCA and other surrounding locations.

Simply stop by the front desk when you first visit. Equipment will be free for you to use for 3 weeks. After that time, you will be expected to provide your own racket which can easily be purchased online.

All you need to bring is a willingness to learn how to play. Warning! This game is contagious and extremely fun. All ages and playing levels are encouraged to attend.

Child care is available for Y members only, as well as all of the cardio and weigh-lifting equipment.
